Thinking, is it still Viable???

A long, long time ago when I was in High School they used to teach us to think by offering both sides of an issue, that was 1977 when I graduated High School and was actually taught to prepare for what life throws at you.  Later in life I went to several community collages and found out the narrative had changed to Professors "telling" students how and what to think.  I was shocked.  The whole point of learning is to know both sides of every issue and decide what YOU believe, not what your teacher or professor wants you to believe.  What is happening here.  This is really the dumbing down of America which will lead to Socialism.  Holy crap parents, what are you thinking.  Teach your children to be thinkers, not pea brained followers.  Show them how to research instead of playing on video games and their phones.  Maybe buy them a bike or a soccer ball, a football.  Get them out of the house and let them play.  Schools have sports to play you know.  Remember that, like you used to do.
